Project Ideas

This is a gathering place for ideas that folks have for software projects. There is always a lot of work to do, and if a new member wants to take on and "own" something, they are more than welcome to do so!

Channel Utilization Visualiser

We have these spreadsheets that track what frequencies we are using at certain hubs. They are updated by hand + a small number of formulas in the spreadsheet. As you can imagine, this is somewhat tedious to maintain. It would be great if someone could use data available from the UISP API and build a system to automatically track and monitor these frequencies.

As a data point, I’ve found UISP to be 100% accurate for frequencies on the last 4-6 months; perhaps the app version upgrades have fixed that?

in which case it would be a cool project for someone to code the generation of this chart and relate it geographically to other masts, and to facing hubs!
