GPON vs XGPON OLT:

OLT Configuration:

The OLD has a default configuraion that will be applied to each ONU that connects. Setting this configuration to prefill some of the configuration is helpful to reduce the workload of configuring ONUs.
(This must be done before the ONUs are connected, so apply the default config, then plug in the fibers to the apartments / floors. If needed you can delete ONUs from the OLT, then reconnect the fiber to push the new default config)

You can also use the default configuration to apply a placeholder WiFi name, so an ONU that looses it's config will be clearly indicated.
