Ubiquiti Nanosation 5 AC Loco
The Loco 5 AC is a new antenna that we are trying for short Point to Point (PtP) link.

Cost: 50$ for Single Unit, 233$ for a 5 Pack (as of August 2025)
Similarities to other antennas:
The Loco 5 AC is similar to both the Litebeam 5 AC and NanoBeam 5 AC and used the same AirMax AC chipset as them.
It is cheaper than both devices however, which make it better for deploying in PtP Link, however it has less range than a Litebeam pair PtP.
It can also be deployed as a sector client. This could be a reasonable idea for shorter distance links as a cost saving measure, as these antenna cost ~15$ less than a LiteBeam. The could be used for buildings that are very close to a hub, though this application hasn't been tested yet.
The performance in PtP links has yet to be tested at this time.
Update this with performance data from the NN5300 to NN175 link once it has been deployed.
Configuration (Sector Client and PtP):
The configuration for this antenna is almost exactly the same as the Litebeam, so follow the Litebeam configuration instructions here.
You can configure this antenna as a sector client or as a PtP link. So far we have only used them as a PtP, so the client sector usage hasn't been tested. The range when connected to a sector is probably shorter than a Litebeam.
PtP Link configuration files:
Base config files for a PtP link are provided here to get you started. These files will set the Control Frequency List, placeholder device name, login password and other basic settings. You should check through the config after applying this file to update the link and device names and ensure the settings applied are correct for your deployment.
